My largest table has only 15 rows and 8 columns and I get the same crashes on my iPhone 4 with iOS 5. It also crashes when I rotAte the iPhone just after or during prosessing of virtually any user action.

I'm using iPad 2, iOS 5 and SQLite Editor 2.2.0. I'm testing with a small database, the largest table has only 31 columns and 40 rows. Since the update to 2.2.0, the application crashes when I try to open the largest table. I can still open the smaller tables, so it appears to have something to do with the size of the table. However, I don't see how a table with only 31 columns and 40 rows can be large enough to crash the app. Please fix this as soon as possible.

So iOS 5 is here and so is the 2.2.0 update. The problem is still there! But I discovered something funny. It depends on the table and on what column is chosen first. If there is exactly one required field and you choose that one first, the row will stay; otherwise it will disappear. This strongly suggests that SQLite is deleting rows because the application attempts to insert a row with required fields missing. In that case, the trick should be to only send the INSERT request to SQLite when the user is done editing all fields of the row (or when all required, non-automatic fields have been filled out). Please fix this as soon as you can, I paid 12 euros for a reason...

When i import a database i'm unable to make modifications to it, also from the main screen where you can create a database, there is a typo for Export & Export, i think this should be Import & Export? Very disappointed for the price i paid.

Hi Chris , Thanks for connection parameters you provided for testing. I have made a little investigation in your problem and found that your severs version is 3.x. MySQL Editor doesn't support server versions lower than 5.0. But we are going to support 4.x also in future.

In version SQLite Editor 2.0.1 on iPad 2, when I try to add data to a table the following happens: 1. I tap the '+' button and a new row appears. 2. I tap the first field of the new row and enter data. 3. Whatever I do (hide keyboard, tap on next field, hit return, etc), the new row always disappears without explanation. 4. My table is left unchanged. Fixing this will improve the usability of SQLite Editor considerably!

I have just installed MYSQL editor on my ipad 1 which has the latest Apple upgrade on it. I can connect to my database successfully but after I connect I'm taken to a page whcih has options to "Run Query", "Generate DDL", "+ New Table". "+ New View" and "+ New Trigger". Below taht it shows the headings "Tables", "Views" and "Triggers". I assume in that section I should be able to see my tables but it is just blank. I can run SQL script against my tables and I can even create new tables but the whole gui interface just doesn't appear. When I try to do DDL generation it says there are no tables in the database. Please can you advise. Many thanks

A suggestion: use Dropbox. I think this will require less effort from the developer to maintain, and will be more flexible for the user than the current web storage solution.

Hi JP, App crashes because because of low memory. iOS gives only 3 mb operative memory per app. Currently you can only limit cell by your query. We are working to improve memory usage. Thanks.

Hi, My SQLite Editor crashes all the time on my iPad2. I have a 5Mb database holding about 13000 geocaches containing 16 fields. A query like "SELECT * FROM geocaches WHERE name LIKE '%wolf';" or "SELECT * FROM geocaches WHERE code='GCH289';" and even the "SELECT * FROM geocaches" will crash the app (even if I add ie LIMIT 25 to it). The same queries run without a flaw on my mac and pc. Edit: Just mailed the programmer of the app the database. I tried narrowing down the * statement into specific fields. This will help ("SELECT shortdescription FROM geocaches;" will work), but selecting several field will crash the app. And restarting the app or leaving it as the only app running is not helping either. Maybe such a large database is more than the app can handle?

I think mfulton is talking about http tunneling. This would be a great feature to add and would make this editor stand out head and shoulders above the others. I am sure I am talking for hundreds of user out there that cannot access their databases via conventional methods because of ISPs blocking access. http tunneling would allow us to do this and would also be unique, as no other app currently offer this.

So I've setup a database connection and created several SQL files. Later I'm out of the office and want to look at one of my SQL files. However I can't because I have to connect to the database first. So currently I can only look at or work on my MySql database scripts in the office. This application would be a LOT more useful if files associated with a database could be viewed and edited offline.

I am not sure if "ssh tunneling" is the right name for what I need, but maybe... I need to be able to connect to a host via SSH but then have it specify a different host for the MySQL database. As far as I can tell, this requires merely that the app track the login/password for both hosts instead of just one, and then for the app to include the "-h hostname" command line option when calling the "MySQL" command. This sort of function is required to be able to access MySQL servers thru web hosting servers like GoDaddy or 1&1.

Hi granbajo, Currently the width of each column is fixed. In portrait view it's equal to alf of the screen width and in landscape view it's equal to 1/3 part of the screen width. We are working on to give user ability to change the width. This feature will be available on version 2.1.0 User can't see individual data row in a separate view. But he can Edit value of individual field in a separate editor. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi, I recently bought SQLite Editor. And I am now playing around with it. there are a couple of things that I am unable to do, bt not sure if they are possible. 1. Can I change the column width on the data display screen? 2. Can I see a single record in an individual form? The DDL as generated contain a recursive error. CAN this be due to m'y french set iPad / iPhone ( issue is the same on . Canot copy the error as reported as the screnn from Sqlite editor doesn't allow.
