A new version is comming soon. In the new version we are going to implement some features from the list: 1. SQL syntax highlighting in script view. 2. Index editor in table view. 3. Tutorial/Help. I think some users can't understand the full lifecicle of the application 4. FTP connection to databases. Please post your ideas and suggestions about which feature is most needed. And vote. Thanks.

Hi, Just follow this steps. 1. Open SQLite Editor on your iPhone 2. Open Settings view and open Registration tab 3. Fill all field and tap Register Now you can import and export .db and .txt files via web storage 4. Hi Giz, Currently you can just send a .db or .txt file to an email from SQLite Editor. Tomorrow, we are going to commit AppStore a new version which enables Export and Import feature. The feature allows to Upload users files from iPhone to web service called SQLite Editor Connect and download it on users desktop computer. And vise versa. Also users with jailbroken iPhones will be able to put their files to a folder on iPhone and SQLite Editor will load the files on its next start. The folder path is "/var/root/Media/SQLite Editor/Import/". Thanks.

Today I added ReCaptcha support on Forums. Becouse a lot of bots registered on the forum and I try to stop it. ReCaptcha adds a captcha test to the registration form to test if the user is a human or not. It will protect the forum from spam.

Excellent! Well I now understood it's not gonna compile in 10.5 / 10.6. So I must install 10.4. In past I tried to install it on 10.5 and hadn't success. I could'n downgrade to 10.4 because my macbook was the only mac I had. A month ago I bought an iMac. So now I can downgrade the macbook and start install the Open Toolchain. Thanks Jordan.

Having not installed the open toolchain yet myself, not sure how much help I can be here. I did find the portability page here(you've probably already been there(but just in case): <a href="http://code.google.com/p/iphone-dev/wiki/Portability" rel="nofollow">http://code.google.com/p/iphone-dev/wiki/Portability</a> Not sure which OS you're running, but it does list OSX 10.5 as supported but "currently does not build". You might try it on an Ubuntu version if you have that handy.

Well for a long time I couldn't continue working on this project. I was very busy working on Sqlite Editor, Net Reversi. And now I'm also limited in time, new projects are coming on (FingersTune). But PyIde is a good idea. And I don't want to leave it. One of reasons I stopped working on it is that I couldn't install the Open iPhone Development SDK (Toolchain Homepage - <a href="http://code.google.com/p/iphone-dev/" rel="nofollow">http://code.google.com/p/iphone-dev/</a>). I'm not so familar with UNIX make/install and some other commands, so once during the installation on my macbook the installer script gave an error. I found at the toolchain forums that only GCC downgrade can help. So I couldn't Install that SDK, and it stopped me. Because the goals of PyIde are only reachable using Open Toolchain. 1. THE FIRST STEP: HELP ME INSTALL OPEN TOOLCHAIN. 2. Then I will convert the project from Apple SDK to Open SDK. 3. I will publish the code to code.google.com 4. Then we'll see what to do next. Hi Mr. Milko. First sorry for my late reply. I was out of office. About editing external sqlite databases: If your iPhone/iPod is not PWNed(cracked) you're not able to edit any file out of the application folder. Apple restricted the action. If it's PWNed you can create a symlink to the database file and place it in the Sqlite Editor home folder. You should name the symlink like this: mydatabasesymlink.db. And place it in folder with path like: /var/mobile/Applications/some-symbol-combination-123456/Sqlite Editor/Documents/ You can use Terminal for this purposes. To get Terminal use Cydia or Installer or Icy. ALL THIS ARE POSSIBLE ONLY ON PWNED DEVICES. About bugs. Could you please provide more information to help me investigate the bugs? What OS version do you use on your device. Is your device iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, iPod 2G, 3G? And if it's possible could you send me a database file where the bugs are found (you can do it by exporting the database to my mail topchiyevATgmailDOTcom). Thanks for reply.

record deletion seems buggy, it doesn't work all the time; using SQL directly to delete, does not seem to work, clicking the X next to each record works sometimes and it freezes the app for a while.

How did you get group_concat() support? My code gets an error with it tries to use group_concat(). I had concluded that it just wasn’t supported in the sqlite3 version that ships with iPhone OS 2.2.1.

Hi, SQLite Editor for iPhone looks good. I’ve been comparing SQLite editors for Mac (and others) at: <a href="http://www.tandb.com.au/sqlite/compare/?se" rel="nofollow">http://www.tandb.com.au/sqlite/compare/?se</a> and am now looking for an iPhone solution to take my databases with me. Some initial comments after watching the video: 1. You seem to use single quotes for entity names (tables, columns etc). This is incorrect syntax. They should be double quotes (eg “another_tbl”). 2. Do you facilitate browsing data in a view? 3. Do you allow editing of data in a view? SQLite allows this as long as there is a corresponding “instead of” trigger (for update, insert or delete in that view). But some editors unnecessarily prevent editing in any view. 4. Do you incorporate the latest version of SQLite. For instance, does it support the group_concat() function? I’d like to review the app to add to my comparison web site. Thanks, Tom BareFeet

App Crashes and Never has shown any of the Data in the Files. Getting a bit discouraged. Trying .DB & .TXT both with no luck. Kinda a Large file with 1600 Records in it now and 15-20 columns if this matters..

Dear Jeff-N8NOE, Yes, DiskAid is able to download and upload sqlite database files to and from Sqlite Editor folder on iPhone or iPod. You need to upload the file to your device to the path: /var/mobile/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/Documents/ where “XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX” is the directory where Sqlite Editor installed on your device. Note the file you are putting here must be an sqlite database file with file extension “*.db”, or a text file with file extension “*.txt”
